In Abraham Lincoln’s first inaugural address, delivered Monday, March 4, 1861 as part of his taking the oath of office for his first term as the sixteenth President of the United States, he said this:
“We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battlefield and patriot grave to every living heart and hearthstone all over this broad land, will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.”
Those words spoken so long ago have a resonance right now. The “better angels of our nature” prevailed last week when people chose a different trajectory than the one we’ve been on for the last four years. Or, if we look at it in the bigger picture, the last 2,000 years.
I talk a lot about the male power-over lessons of the Piscean Age and how the vibration of that mindset comes to an end this year, because it’s the main reason we’re having all the difficulties now. Young souls who incarnated as men in this life are having a hard time knowing who they are and where they stand in this new vibration. Their unquestioned importance of the last 2,000 years changes now and their required growth into the self-awareness and emotional maturity of being an Aquarian Age male has been and still is scary and overwhelming.
They weren’t given the primer (or they didn’t want to read it). They’re on their own and they don’t know what to do. So they try to hold on to what their world has been fueled by a fierce, primal fear of losing their power-over entitlement. And they’re making everyone else pay for their lack of self growth because it’s all they know how to do.
SIDEBAR: In the decades leading up to the incredible time of change, marked by “The End of the World” on December 21, 2012, an unusually high number of young souls jumped into incarnations to be able to experience the tremendous growth potential. But many young souls couldn’t handle the depth of the changes. It’s as if sixth grade souls came to class and found the lessons were for a university Master’s Degree. They became lost early on and haven’t caught up. And what do many children do when they feel lost without direction or discipline? They have tantrums. 2020 has been one long tantrum.
However, that’s only one part of the energy of the Piscean Age. The lesson wasn’t necessarily how to be self-important, entitled or a bully. It was a lesson of how to become a good leader, authoritarian and father figure. Being any of those things doesn’t mean standing in the negative version of them. There have been great leaders (Abraham Lincoln, Mahatma Gandhi) and authoritarians (Julius Caesar, Mao Zedong) and father figures (Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Nelson Mandela) who never strayed into the ego-driven power-over entitlement.
In studying ego, we can learn to become more ego-driven (self-important) or we can learn to become ego-less. What we’re experiencing now is the leftover ego-driven version of the Piscean Age male because of those young souls. And the choice that was finalized last Saturday indicated that the majority of people in the United States had opted to move into the Aquarian Age egolessness by conscious choice.
We were given an option between two different versions of the Piscean Age. On one end, we were given the self-involved, ego-driven leader believing in “for the good of me”. On the other end, we were given the responsible, compassionate and wise leader believing in “for the good of all”. Basically the worst and best of the Piscean Age. Or we can see it as the abusive (and sexually-abusive) bully of a father vs. the caring, good example of a father.
So what we’re fighting for as we move forward into full-on Aquarian Age energy, that takes over on December 21, 2020, is the humanity that is the new vibration. We’re not fighting to smack people down because they don’t agree with us, or make ourselves feel better by making fun of or condemning another who is different (which is all based on insecurity and fear anyway), we’re fighting to achieve egolessness, to consciously be inspired by the “better angels of our nature”, to know that we are all One.
While the energy will be more supportive of that after the Winter Solstice and into 2021 and beyond, our new President Elect will finish off the Piscean Age influence with the best lessons offered and learned over the last 2,000 years, because we needed a good father figure to lead us out of the dark.
And while he’s doing that, he also paves the way over the next year for the path our new Vice-President Elect. As the vibration of the Piscean Age becomes a memory over the next twelve months (and perhaps a little longer), our new Vice-President becomes the leader that takes us fully into the Aquarian Age vibe and to remind us that all men aren’t power-over bullies.
In our New Age, we are all equal, even those who disagree with us. But give a care and have a heart for those who are so afraid to move forward because they don’t know where they’re going or who they will be in the new world order. That doesn’t mean be indulgent for their self-saving actions, just indulgent for the young souls inside them that are scared to death. However, also remember they chose to come at this time and when it wasn’t as easy as they thought it would be, they chose to stay in that fear and disrupt the lives of others, and in some cases the entire planet, with their ego-survival.
BTW (and this is me being self-indulgent in election glee)… I was laughing and crying on Saturday with relief and joy that we got the freaking memo!!!! And now, I’m so excited to see who the new team is going to be leading our country. I was thrilled to learn that Karine Jean-Pierre is Kamala Harris’ Chief of Staff!!! If that’s how we start off, we are going to be in great hands! Can’t stop smiling.
