Welcome to the New Year, the new decade and the new seven-year cycle in the Aquarian Age!

In case you didn’t see it before, I am changing my schedule and rates following the Chinese New Year on January 25. First, I will be reading only the first Saturday of every month between 1 to 6 PM Central Time – no more Saturday readings for the rest of each month. Second, my rates will be going up slightly, which I will announce within the next week or two.

Also, if anyone is trying to book a reading on Saturday, January 25 because it is the Chinese New Year (of the Water Rat), please note that I’ve blocked it off for the moment because I’m going to offer FREE 15 or 30 minute readings on that day between 1 and 6 PM Central time. I’ll open the schedule for bookings on the Monday before. It will be covered in my newsletter that comes out in the early evening on January 20.

For women in the Austin, Texas area, on Saturday, January 11: two very cool Healers and Light Workers, Shelly and Lucinda, are offering a “Magic 8 Ball Vision Board” workshop to create your 2020 Vision Board in a new way. The two-hour event teaches innovative ways to display ideas, gives creative tools to help clarify, concentrate and maintain focus on goals, provides helpful tips on how to tap into what you really want to manifest, and teaches how to use all five sense to make your Vision Board become reality.

It starts at 1 PM, again runs for two hours (with snacks and drinks provided) at a location at The Domain for $65.00. For more details and to sign up by Thursday, January 9, go to hosted by Shelly and Lucinda. If there’s a problem connecting there, text me at 818-943-1027 and I’ll give further info.

If we’ve been feeling off recently, know we’ll be getting back on track this week. With the challenges of 2019 coming up in ways we didn’t expect or want (always the case when we need to learn something that interrupts our through-line of life), we started anticipating the end-of-the-year holidays during the last days of September – the holidays that would make us “happy and loved” and give us time off. That’s a long time to keep that anticipation going without it taking its toll. It did, the week before Christmas.

The high-hopes energy hit a wall on December 16. The majority of us were left feeling a little lost, like we were in a fog or living in a different reality – not too different, just different enough for us to feel we weren’t “home”. For many of us, it made enjoying the holidays uneasy, like we were walking through them. It wasn’t the release we wanted the end of the year to be.

But we get the release starting this week. It may not feel like the fulfilling release we expect, having that unrestrained “happiness or love” or down time, but getting back into our day-to-day rhythms brings normalcy. Although, what we knew as normal before is now brand new. That’s a good thing. Read on…

While 2020 has been prophesied as an exceptionally, once-in-a-lifetime, difficult and challenging year, it only becomes that if we fight the change we’re offered. I have had many clients in their New Year readings be surprised and pleased how things are going to work out in such a positive way for them. Either I have a lot of really enlightened clients who have spent 2019 doing their hard, “wake-up” work (which I do), or the changes coming in 2020 bring enlightenment and reward as much as challenge and difficulty. It’s all in how we look at it. And we have help.

This year, more than any other, we can best maneuver our journey by looking to the stars – not with a sextant but by paying attention to the planetary activity in our solar system, especially our Moon. 2020 has more significant planetary activity, not just in the mass of retrogrades, but as the long-term-growth-influencing Outer Planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto) meet, greet and oppose each other in rare ways. This will especially be important in our timing: when is it best to have surgery, or take a trip, or look for a job, or make a move? (Hint: most of that is better before April.) Being aware of what’s going on in our Solar system gives us that map.

First, be aware of the cycle of our Moon as that has the strongest day-to-day impact on us. We have six eclipses this year, more than usual. Two are Solar Eclipses (June 21 and December 14) which happen on New Moons and bring new beginnings coming out of forced endings. And with 2020 having intense “Truth Revealed” energy, they offer profound help to change rhythms we’ve felt caught in but haven’t known how to release (so, don’t fight the release when it comes because it’s an answer to something already asked for).

The four Lunar Eclipses (January 10, June 5, July 5 and November 30) on Full Moons, are very emotionally charged and, this year, can bring huge feelings of fear. This is the time to really concentrate on “Let Go, Let God”. As we release these emotions, we are also forced to let go of what isn’t our Personal Truth (Truth Revealed being the theme of the year).

Along with the eclipses, all New Moons and Full Moons will have a heightened affect on us that we may not notice until we’re right in the middle of it, like depression, sorrow, anger, or any emotional overreaction to what normally wouldn’t bother us. Or, if we get to that great state of self-awareness and balance, we will observe the over-emotionality in others and then our task becomes to avoid taking that on.

Be aware, though, that while the New Moon brings a lift, the dangerous, over-emotional time comes during the lead up to it in the Dark of the Moon (the day/night before the New Moon hits). The Dark of the Moon can take us into a pit of despair, or make us feel disconnected or lost in a very dramatic way. With new strong planetary influences this year, above and beyond all the retrograde activity, the Dark of the Moon and several days before, can be more emotionally dangerous than the enervating effects of a Full Moon.

Along with all the emotional Moon activity, we start the Year of Planetary Awakening this week on Tuesday, January 7 when we are having to face our personal truth (Pluto, Inner Desires) with structure it doesn’t like (Saturn, the Taskmaster). That’s our first glimpse of getting ourselves in our Personal Truth vibe. The first Solar Eclipse comes on Friday, January 10 to help set up that classroom for 2020. Beware we can feel very lost from January 7 to 10, when we really aren’t. Stay aware of self-reactions and over-reactions.

Throughout the year, we will have the rare Dance Of Pluto and Saturn, Pluto and Jupiter and Jupiter and Saturn – all affecting human evolution on a grand, “re-set the world” stage. Shorthand courtesy of Master Astrologer Gahl Sasson: Pluto is our raw power and passion, Saturn brings harsh lessons and is the Devourer of Souls while Jupiter represents opportunities, luck, flow and expansion (and is not happy in restrictive Capricorn at the moment). As their orbits around the Sun take years, when they get together like they will this year, their lessons are deep and life-changing rather than the quick awakening we get with our Moon’s activity. We will be feeling the changes they make in ways that makes us question ourselves and then find our own answers. They give us the opportunity to manifest our desires, long-term and recent, if we honor the changes they provide. Manifestion energy is with us all year long, no matter what seems to be going on around us.

Then we bring in the mass retrograde energy where every planet in our system retrogrades at the same time, if we include their before and after shadow movement. That starts near the end of April, lasts throughout summer, kind of eases up at the end of September but lingers pretty much through the end of the year. July and August will be the highlight to it all.

So a clear time to do things without interference (before the heavy self and humanity lessons start) is now thru the first Mercury retrograde running from February 16 through March 9/10. And then after that through the end of April. This doesn’t mean after April, everything goes downhill. It means we are given an opportunity to change with the energy, to ride the wave of evolution toward our inevitable future, both within self and without in the world. Do the prep work between now and April, then gear up for the heavy work for the rest of the year. It’s going to be a very fast year.

To keep track of what’s going on in the heavens, get a planetary guide, such as “Llewellyn’s 2020 Daily Planetary Guide”. Jim Maynard’s Celestial Forecaster, my preferred daily guide, will not be published for 2020. He has retired and is looking for someone to continue his work for 2021. In the meantime, and more importantly, get Gahl Sasson’s “The Astrology of 2020 – The Leap of Faith: The Dawning of a New World” While the latter doesn’t give a day-by-day listing of planetary events, it does give a broader idea of what’s happening and when and explains why we feel the way we feel.

Then I suggest marking up a calendar with the significant events (New Moons, Full Moon, eclipses, outer planet conjuctions and oppositions, and all the retrogrades) so we can be as prepared as possible, or, at the least, have insight into why we suddenly feel over-emotional, discombobulated or lost, or have more success-energy than we’ve had before.

SIDEBAR: As the Aquarian Age gives our physical bodies a vibrational lift, this year turns that up to eleven. We will find ourselves more finely tuned-in to the cycles and influences of our planetary neighbors. Our bodies will change with the vibration so what has worked before for us may not work now, i.e., foods/diets, activities and especially the effectiveness of medications that will probably need to be readjusted or discontinued. As we awaken in the spiritual, emotional and mental parts of ourselves, we also do so in our physical selves as well.

I came across this on InstaGram via a repost from sir_twitch_alot, originally from @duecefrequency. I thought it was a lovely way to look at the New Year:

Welcome to Flight 2020! We are preparing to take off into the New Year. Please make sure your Attitude and Blessings are secured and locked in an upright position. All self-destructive devices should be turned off at this time. All negativity, hurt and discouragement should be put away. Should we lose altitude under pressure during the flight, reach up and pull down a Prayer. Prayers will automatically be activated by Faith. Once your Faith is activated, you can assist other passengers. There will be no baggage allowed on this flight. The Captain (God) has cleared us for take off. Destination: greatness and new!”

I offer this with love and gratitude…
