THIS WEEK AND LIFE IN SCORPIO

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

BLESSED SAMHAIN!

Here’s wishing you a wonderful festival, whether it be celebrated with costumes and trick or treat, or a ritual honoring the dead. According to the Old Ways, October 31 ends the growing season of the year, with November 1 (the pagan New Year) starting six months of the dark, inward-looking time. We’re also in a waning rhythm from the Full Moon last Wednesday (until the New Moon on November 7 – the day after the election – and boy will we need new, refreshing energy then). And we’re in the transformational sign of Scorpio. Taking everything together, that means there’s a lot of releasing going on. Read More

VENUS RETROGRADE 2018

BUT FIRST – HAPPY OCTOBER!

This month brings a completely different energy and feel to the air – not just in temperature and crispness, but in vibration preparing for the end of the Wiccan/Pagan year on Samhain or All Hallow’s Eve. It’s a time of high magic when the Veil between the worlds grows thinner and thinner as we move toward the end of the month, so we can communicate with and experience other dimensions, honor those who have passed and listen to their guidance. It’s already started in my house with the cats seeing and hearing things that “aren’t there” and intense dreams that provide release and guidance. Read More

WHAT HAPPENS NOW?

BUT FIRST

A great man passed away on Saturday. Senator John McCain succumbed to cancer at 81. CNN reported: “McCain was a naval bomber pilot, prisoner of war, conservative maverick, giant of the Senate, twice-defeated presidential candidate and an abrasive American hero with a twinkle in his eye. The Arizonan warrior politician, who survived plane crashes, several bouts of skin cancer and brushes with political oblivion, often seemed to be perpetually waging a race against time and his own mortality while striving to ensure that his five-and-a-half years as a Vietnam prisoner of war did not stand as the defining experience of his life.” Read More

LONELINESS

Over the weekend, Venus went direct so the hardest part of spring (last week with Mercury also retrograde and a powerful Full Moon on Monday, April 10) has passed. Obviously, we still must be careful until Mercury is direct on May 3, but the oppressiveness of the compounded energy has lifted. With the New Moon coming next week (on Wednesday, April 26), we should finally feel Spring’s breath of fresh energy. Read More

VENUS HOLDS ON

THE MOON GOES FULL

or

MISCOMMUNICATION

SELF-JUDGMENT

OVER-EMOTIONALITY

So, basically, we’ve got a ride coming up over the next two weeks, with the energy leading into April 9 and finishing off on April 15 being especially challenging.

First off, on Sunday, April 9, Mercury goes retrograde until May 3. We know about this: miscommunication and misunderstandings run rampant during these three weeks (plus three days). We focus on looking at what hasn’t worked in our past and must avoid starting anything new, especially signing legal papers or buying any big items (house, car). We also have to be aware of glitches with electronics, automobiles and travel. Read More

THE INFLUENCE OF VENUS RETROGRADE MARCH 3 TO APRIL 15

When our inner planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars) retrograde, it always affects us more obviously than the slower, deeper-but-not-obvious-change-inducing outer planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto). We can feel the influence of the inner planets more day-to-day. Hence, I report on those retrogrades to help us maneuver through the difficulties, usually with the help of the most knowledgeable astrologers I know. Read More

2017 HAPPY (CALENDAR) NEW YEAR!

2017 has so much going on, it needs more than one posting to cover it. So look for my take on our political and global shifts on Monday, January 16th, (before the Inauguration on Friday the 20th), and what to expect from the Year of the Fire Rooster on Monday, January 23rd (to prep for the Chinese New Year/New Moon on January 28th). Meanwhile, here’s some info on the general feel of the year, what our lessons will be and how to deal with it all.

Be aware – this year is a big deal! We’ve finished a very hard ten-year run of pulling ourselves out of Piscean Age concepts with great success only to seemingly come to a screeching halt with the election. “Seemingly” is the key word here. This year is defined by the polarity of people who think they’ve regained control being stopped and smacked in the face regularly, while people who have done all the right things without success speeding forward with the grace of God (or Goddess, Creator, Spirit). So, hold on! This will be interesting. Read More

A FINAL WORD ON RELATIONSHIPS

With the Summer of Looking Inward and Venus retrograde now over, it’s time to put into practice all we learned about ourselves and our relationships – what we bring or don’t bring to them, what we’re getting or not getting, and how to see the difference.

This has been a very difficult summer. And this Venus retrograde has been the most challenging in memory. Several of my clients who were in seemingly perfect relationships got hit out of nowhere. Both people involved had long-term intentions then, without warning, WHAM! It’s over, I’m not in love with you anymore (or I’m in love with someone else), goodbye! A lot of karma was forced to the surface in relationships over the past months that created a wake-up call not everybody wanted. It became very clear who was doing the “looking-inward” work and who was not. Read More

ON LOVE AND DATING

Venus is now direct (as of Sunday, September 6th). That is a huge relief for everyone who experienced the oppression that sat on all matters of relationships for a very long seven weeks.

The New Moon on Sunday, September 13th brought new energy, a new beginning. Especially so as it fell on Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. With it was a Solar Eclipse that was very potent. Every eclipse gives us an opportunity to be disconnected from ourselves and our past as we are separated from the light of the Sun by the intervening Moon. It allows our logical left-hemisphere of the brain to take a break and our intuitive right-hemisphere to lead. Read More
