Today, Monday, October 18, with Mercury and Jupiter moving direct, we’re coming out of the heavy energy that has been hitting us for months. Last week was especially chaotic with both our emotions and our disconnected actions raging unchecked. Many times, we could observe the chaos and emotionality in others, thinking “What’s up with him?!” without being aware how much we were oversensitive within ourselves. This week should start to balance that out. Read More
So summer is almost done. Today, September 20, we have a Full Moon in the spiritual/psychic sign of Pisces. Full Moons in each September are the release of the tensions caused by the lessons we faced in August’s Karmic Catch-up/Hungry Ghosts Month (and the lead in to both, which sometimes takes us back to the beginning of summer, if not to March and April). Here’s wishing you a wonderful festival, whether it be celebrated with costumes and trick or treat, or a ritual honoring the dead. According to the Old Ways, October 31 ends the growing season of the year, with November 1 (the pagan New Year) starting six months of the dark, inward-looking time. We’re also in a waning rhythm from the Full Moon last Wednesday (until the New Moon on November 7 – the day after the election – and boy will we need new, refreshing energy then). And we’re in the transformational sign of Scorpio. Taking everything together, that means there’s a lot of releasing going on. Read More
BUT FIRST – HAPPY OCTOBER!
This month brings a completely different energy and feel to the air – not just in temperature and crispness, but in vibration preparing for the end of the Wiccan/Pagan year on Samhain or All Hallow’s Eve. It’s a time of high magic when the Veil between the worlds grows thinner and thinner as we move toward the end of the month, so we can communicate with and experience other dimensions, honor those who have passed and listen to their guidance. It’s already started in my house with the cats seeing and hearing things that “aren’t there” and intense dreams that provide release and guidance. Read More
Here is a reprint of an article I published several years ago, but the info is still relevant for our coming Halloween, Samhain, All Hallow’s Eve, Day of the Dead, All Saint’s Day observances.
In past times, the year was divided into two seasons: summer and winter. Summer started on May 1; winter on November 1. The beginning of November was also considered the beginning of the New Year. Read More
Wanted to let you know that I’ll be making a guest appearance on Powered Up Talk Radio on Tuesday, October 25 at 5 pm Central time (6 pm Eastern, 4 pm Mountain, 3 pm Pacific) to talk about “What’s Going On?”
We will discuss a lot of what I included in my last newsletter so if you want to hear the conversation rather than read it, or just want to tune in for the extras (as we always add more or go off topic), please join us.
Quite a few of my readings these days are about people having vivid, weird, intense, and sometimes scary, dreams. Not monster-scary but really-bad-things-happen-to-them-and-their-loved-ones-scary.
This, and an unusual feeling of being lost, are happening because we are coming upon All Hallow’s Eve. Also known as Halloween, All Saint’s Day, Samhain, or the Day of the Dead, when the Veil that separates the physical and spiritual realms is at it’s thinnest. And we are our most psychic. More psychic now than we’ve been for at least 2,000 years. Read More
Now we’re at Halloween. All Hallow’s Eve. Day of the Dead. All Saint’s Day. Or, for those of us with pagan in our blood, Samhain (pronounced sow-EEN). This is an important day, whether it is celebrated as a holiday or a holy day. Read More
