With all the energy shifting going on right now, extreme emotions like desperation, fear, anger, frustration, impatience, anxiety, sorrow and depression are running very high. And it’s getting worse during the summer. Most of us are so overwhelmed, hoping someone else will fix what’s wrong, we’re unaware we send our energy out in waves seeking help. It then attaches itself to anyone who has similar feelings and piggybacks onto it.
We can easily wake up with overwhelming desperation or fear or anger or whatever and think it’s ours. No one experiences overwhelming emotion and thinks it belongs to someone else. But it does. Herd animals used to ground this excessive energy for us but we killed them off so we’re on our own. However, no one needs to carry someone else’s energy, especially if you didn’t consciously volunteer to take on the problems of others.
If you feel excessive emotion that wakes you in the middle of the night, or hits you first thing in the morning or even during the day, know the percentages are high that it’s not completely yours. There’s a simple way of making sure what’s yours and what’s not, and of clearing it.
Ask yourself, aloud, “Is this my fear?” (or whatever you’re feeling). If you’re not sure what you’re feeling, ask it in a couple of ways: “Is this my anxiety?” “Is this my depression?” “Is this my sorrow?” If it’s not yours, by asking the question(s), it goes away. And then you can deal with what is yours.
Simple stuff but powerful. Try it. It really works.
