…AND CHOAS ENSUES

THE MICRO/MACROCOSM OF IT ALL Here we go. Crunch time. While this last week has been crazy, scary and dangerous on the world front (and for many on the personal front), in the big scheme of things, it’s all in line with where we are and where we’re headed. While I’m talking about the personal stuff in this post, I will also be talking politics. If that offends you, skip that part when it comes later on. MICROCOSM First, let’s talk our individual immediate future. The most in-your-face three weeks of 2018 starts this Wednesday/Thursday, July 25/26, as Mercury retrogrades for the second (and hardest) of its three turns this year. We’ve...

HOPE FOR THE FUTURE

HOPE FOR THE FUTURE

If we watch world news, national news and sometimes local news these days, things can seem pretty dire. When our very core is being forced to change and adapt at lightning speed, it puts our individual worlds and the general world in chaos. During these times, finding light within and at the end of the tunnel can seem impossible. How can anything work out with so much upheaval? How can things get better if everyone is self-centered in fear and survival at the expense of everyone else? It feels as if none of us will ever be comfortable again. However, every once in a while, even in this dire landscape, a bright light bringing hope can show itself. Everyday heroes shine...

MARS RETROGRADE REACTIONS – Recognizing Retrograde Behavior

MARS RETROGRADE REACTIONS Recognizing Retrograde Behavior  (because it may sneak up on you) (…and some other pertinent stuff) Last Thursday, June 28, the House Judiciary Committee’s Republican Members of Congress “questioned” FBI Director Christopher Wray and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to, in a nutshell, force them to shut down the on-going Russia investigation. It was quite an unusually aggressive occasion with venting and shouting rather than questioning. That night, Rachel Maddow commented on the event on her MSNBC show: “I don’t know why Republicans in Congress are boiling up with such froth about the Mueller Investigation. But...

MARS RETROGRADE BY GAHL

MARS RETROGRADE BY GAHL

Here is Master Astrologer Gahl Sasson’s take on the Mars retrograde starting tomorrow, Tuesday, June 26 through the end of August. After a previous post about my deductions on how it’s going to affect us all, it’s always good to hear another voice. Gahl writes: As you might have read/seen in the news, Donald Trump, being true to his nature, submitted to his inner joker and fool, Uranus, who moved into Taurus, economy, in May. Adhering to the call of Uranus to act irresponsibly, Trump made his enemies his friends (dictators around the world) and his friends, enemies (refusing to sign G7 agreement). In addition, he unleashed a trade war...

HOW TO MANEUVER THROUGH THE SUMMER OF 2018

HOW TO MANEUVER THROUGH THE SUMMER OF 2018

We have yet to start the Summer of Retrogrades and already we’re feeling the energy shifts as they heat up. They started in earnest after the Full Moon on May 29. Since then, there is a feeling of sudden disconnectedness, not just from the people around us, but from ourselves, from our place in the world and from our roots in the Earth. It makes us feel, in many cases, completely alone. It isn’t necessarily a strong feeling (although it can be for the many younger souls here now), but it is there. And when we look beyond ourselves, we can see it is shared by pretty much everybody. The intensity of it is growing, preparing us for the opportunities and...

IN HONOR OF A PERFECT CAT

IN HONOR OF A PERFECT CAT

My sweet Perfect Katie passed June 2, 2018 at 4 PM Central time. We were together in this incarnation for thirteen years. She was my heart and soul and the truest of companions. While I love all animals, especially all animals who have personally chosen me, once in a while there is a special bond with one of them, and Katie was that one. Anyone who has had that special bond with an animal knows what I’m talking about. She was loving, smart, a smart-ass, incredibly talkative and definite about what she wanted. And I belonged to her heart and soul. She’d sleep with me all curled up in my arms with my nose resting on her back. She had a purr like a jackhammer...
