ABOUT OUR EARTH

The Earth is a living being. Have you ever thought of her that way?

She has a pulse and breathes (as reported in National Geographic several years ago by someone who charted her breathing patterns).

She not only is a source of life to us with her body, she also has a consciousness. I have been incredibly blessed on two occasions in my life to be in touch with that consciousness and it’s like nothing else I’ve ever experienced.

In the big scheme of things, she has offered herself to be our classroom as we learn the physical lessons of being human. She lives in a symbiotic relationship with all life on her – as she grows in understanding and enlightenment, we grow in the same. As we grow, she grows. In one of my communications with her, I was surprised to understand that she would be very lonely without us.

If she wanted us gone, for all the damage we have done to her, she could “shake her shoulders” twice and we’d be obliterated. A couple of really strong natural disasters and that would be the end of us. But she still cares for us with unconditional love, as good mothers do. She proves that daily by taking care of us in spite of the fact that most people don’t honor or respect her or take care of her at all.

General thought says that we are destroying her with all of our selfishness and greed and disregard for her resources. The truth is more that we are destroying ourselves, our way of life, rather than destroying her. As we deplete her resources, we suffer by having undrinkable water, polluting our food supply, changing climate patterns, abusing animals. WE suffer. But she survives.

Even an atomic war that could destroy the human population and most of the flora and fauna would not destroy the Earth. She would heal. Eventually. She is sturdier than what we can do to her. Yet we can hurt her. Physically, energetically and spiritually. We have been and continue to do so. But she will survive, even though it may take her millennia to heal if we take our destruction to its fullest capacity.

However, in this new Aquarian Age, our lessons in becoming human instead of just unconscious sheep teach us to take full responsibility for every action. This changes the destruction and gives us the opportunity to help rather than hurt her. There is more hope for us than seems possible based on what’s going on in the world now. Humanity is just in a major transition that is incredibly difficult so the worst is surfacing in us before it is released.

Jewish scholars believe that the Earth’s actual birthday is October 23. I have frequently talked about her birthday, or “re-birth day”, being on December 21, 2012 because it was such a huge 26,000 year transition. That day separated us from the life-giving light at the center of the universe. When we reemerged into that light the following day, it was in a different Age. That energetically still fits with all the anniversaries that came together that day. But if Jewish scholars report October 23 as being HER day, I know they did not come by that deduction lightly.

So in honor of her impending birthday this coming Friday, here are some things you might not know about our wonderful planet that I have learned or have been told by spiritual messengers throughout the years.

Her inner light glows gold. Although from space, her aura glows green.

At one point in her life before humans arrived, her surface was so alive with energy, the air itself had a golden hue. This gold light was filled with living prana (life force) that was so strong and potent, it could heal anything on contact. When we first arrived, that gold light connected us to her in a much more visceral way than we can connect now. Life was more “magickal” because the energy was just as spiritual as it was physical.

Over time as we thrived and multiplied, we “used up” that light on the surface. Eventually in our growth process, we focused on logic and became divorced from that spiritual connection. However, we can still access that energy by calling it up into our bodies from the center of the Earth through visualization and meditation. If we fill ourselves enough with this perfect gold light, we can replenish the gold light on the surface by sharing it with all life.

The Earth vibrates to the number seven. As everything in the physical universe has a vibration, so do numbers. The numbers themselves represent energy and each energy has its own vibration. The Earth’s vibration resonates in natural expressions of seven, such as:

There are seven naturally occurring colors in the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.

There are seven “seas” of the ancient mariners: The Arctic Ocean, the North Atlantic Ocean, the South Atlantic Ocean, the Indian Ocean, the North Pacific Ocean, the South Pacific Ocean, the Southern or Antarctic Ocean.

There are seven states of matter: three physical (solid, gas and liquid) and four energetic (etheric, astral, mental and spiritual).

As we vibrate at the same level as the Earth does, we also vibrate to the number seven. There are seven glands within the human body: pineal gland, pituitary gland, thyroid, thymus, adrenal gland, pancreas and reproductive. Each gland rules the body over a seven year period.

Humans completely replace all their cells every seven years.

Our bodies have seven chakras: Crown (Sahasrara), Third Eye (Ajna), Throat (Vishuddha), Heart (Anahata), Solar Plexus/Naval (Manipura), Sacral (Svadhishthana), Root (Maladhara).

There are also seven chakras within the Earth. They are places with inexplicable spiritual power like Tibet, Peru, the Bermuda Triangle and, oddly, Los Angeles. L.A., I believe, is the Crown Chakra of the planet and is just opening up for humankind’s spiritual awakening. If you live in or around Los Angeles and you’re not completely grounded in your own power-within, know the energy is going to get more intense and chaotic before it balances out, which takes years.

Our solar system also has chakras and the Earth is the Heart Chakra. How much more loving can it be for us to be living in the energy of the Heart Chakra of the solar system?

As we become more conscious of the consciousness of life around us – exampled by our recent growing awareness of our connection with and responsibility to animals – try expanding that consciousness to include the Earth herself. Whether or not you are able to connect with her one-on-one, at least honor her for what we know she gives us: our physical life. And, if we let her, our spiritual life as well.

Happy Birthday, Dear Earth.

with love and gratitude…
