This is a big week, a defining week, indicating a shift in energy we’ve been working on – and waiting for – for quite a while. It brings an ability to experience inner peace and a re-focusing of purpose in this year of calm and opportunity (which for many hasn’t seemed that calm or filled with possibilities so far). But wait for it.
Below is what Llewellyn’s 2015 Daily Planetary Guide has to say about it. Even if you don’t understand or care about astrological events or explanations, this info can help us all understand what’s going on and why we and others are reacting in answer to energetic shifts.
A quick note about Pluto and Uranus. Pluto is, as the Llewellyn book reports, the “head of the Department of Death, Destruction and Decay, in charge of things that have to happen, disposing of situations that have gone past the point of no return, where the only solution is to let go.” While Uranus is “head of the Department of One Never Knows, the place in your chart where shocks, surprises and sudden reversals are regular fare.”
This means forced generational change (Pluto) comes up against sudden and forced upheaval (Uranus) in repeated confrontations since 2012. With them now moving out of this head-butting dance, we’re going to get a long-needed break.
March 16 – 22, 2015
Breaking news! Some weeks are more significant than others, but this week is a game changer. The reasons are a long-awaited finale, a rare eclipse , and an opportunity for an exceptional new beginning.
Monday, March 16, marks the day of the final battle in the devastating series of skirmishes between Uranus and Pluto that began in 2012. During the “War of Seven Squares”, Pluto has been on the side of financial transformations, political reshuffling, and geological breakdowns.
In the opposite corner, Uranus has given us shocking proof that we need to turn in a new direction. Starting in April next month, Uranus will start to move out of Pluto’s range until 2046, which is celestial affirmation that the war is over and the all clear has been sounded. Now it’s time to pick up the pieces so that universal healing can begin.
The sky map on Friday, March 20, agrees with this new beginning, with an extraordinary first day of spring. This year the spring equinox is also host to a Supermoon and a Total Solar Eclipse. During the Solar Eclipse, the Supermoon will appear larger than the Sun and block out all direct sunlight. Unfortunately, the only place this amazing sight will be visible is off the coast of Norway.
While every New Moon signals the beginning of a two-week period that’s good for making a new start, a Solar Eclipse is a cosmic wildcard that can be a catalyst for many kinds of change – good, bad or ugly. This eclipse belongs to a lucky family of eclipses called “Saros Series 17 South”, which are considered to be mostly benign.
A Solar Eclipse will be personally significant if it lands on or near your birthday. If you were born on March 20, this eclipse could signal that the coming year will be a turning point in your life.
Later on that same day, the Sun moves into 0 degrees Aries, which is the marker for the spring equinox, or the first day of spring. The spring equinox is the first of two days each year when the apparent path of the Sun crosses the equator. This crossing means that on Friday, March 20, there will be nearly equal amounts of day and night. Take advantage of this day of cosmic equilibrium by checking to see if your life is in balance.
This is the best time of the year to plant the “seeds” that you’d like to see growing in your personal life. If it’s true that the key to success is in the timing, this is a week to start something wonderful.
Just as a suggestion, take advantage of this astrological and energetic “new beginning” by doing something to get in harmony with self and the flow. Do a ritual or ceremony to put forward intentions for the rest of the year. Focus those intentions by writing them down and then offering them to Spirit by burning them on Friday.
Or meditate every night between now and Friday and for the next two weeks on being in balance within self, with all life around us including the Earth herself and the planets in our solar system. Ask Guides, Angels and Ancestors to help shed the past and embrace the new.
Pray with gratitude for what has been challenging which has lead to where we are now and what possibilities are available that we don’t even know about yet.
It’s a powerful year that works to our benefit the more we are in our own balance and go with the flow of the planet. This is the “Let Go, Let God” year more than any other. The results we get from living in that concept this year are huge.
Allow the intensity of the Dark of the Moon cleanse.
Embrace the possibilities of the New Moon.
Let the Solar Eclipse shake things up to put a new path in front of us.
And celebrate the spring equinox with its promise of an energetic new beginning.
With love and gratitude…
